Objects may be grouped together, which can simplify the editing if several objects are to be connected and considered as one object. This is done by first multi-selecting the objects you want to group and then use the grouping functionality. Multi-selection is done by first clicking on one of the objects and then holding down the Ctrl key on the keyboard and selecting the other objects. When grouping, the other objects will be placed as children to the first selected object.

When using rendering filters, a grouped object is clipped to the border of its parent's object. This means that if your grouped object is outside of its parent's object's rectangle, it will not be visible if rendering filters are applied to either the object itself or to its parent object. |
